1 lb dark turkey meat; ground
¾ cup onion; finely chopped and drained
2 teaspoons garlic; minced
½ cup freshly grated parmesan
2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley; finely chopped
¼ cup breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons milk
1 egg; lightly beaten
½ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
Jar high quality pesto sauce
Extra bread crumbs for rolling (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a large bowl combine breadcrumbs and milk to moisten. Add remaining ingredients except for turkey.
- Add turkey and mix until well combined.
- Roll into 1 ¼ inch diameter balls. If desired, roll in breadcrumbs.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with easy release foil. Bake for 15 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Serve with drizzle of pesto.
